DOTA 2 In-game Screenshots Surfaced

After the DotA 2 Wallpaper by Kunkka, the DotA 2 in-game screenshots are now surfaced on the internet. A Chinese DotA 2 Team posted a couple of in-game printscreen showing two heroes, Shadowfiend and Doom Bringer.

From these images we can assume that DotA 2 is based on a dark theme but the graphics are amazing and everything is so easy to differentiate and adopt unlike other DotA genre games. The in-game UI of DotA 2 looks very sleek and minimap is much detailed. Valve has added Dota 2 mana bars for allied heroes.

The 2nd image of Shadowfiend confirms the DotA 2 Tutorial mode with a guiding arrow. The user interface of DotA 2 is designed for consuming less space making the gameplay screen much wider. Valve hasn’t officially disclosed any updates about these leaked screenshots but we thank to people who leaked this much awaited pictures!

Unlimited Detail Tech Demo Shows the Future of 3D Games

We have seen the future of 3D games, and it will most likely be powered by Unlimited Detail technology. Simply put, "rather than working with a limited number of polygon shapes, a graphic environment could be built from an infinite number of 3-D virtual atoms, much like the physical world." Video after the break.
Unlimited Detail circumvents the computing power problem, Dell says, by acting like a search engine that figures out, in real time, which points need to be rendered to create a certain view from a certain perspective.

Genius !!

Today’s games are great, but they just don’t carry the same immeasurable nostalgic value as, say, Chrono Trigger, Link’s Awakening, or even Number Crunchers. Now Stockholm-based pixel artist Junkboy has hypothesized for Swedish magazine Level what it might have looked like had contemporary games—Arkham Asylum, Bioshock, Guitar Hero, Little Big Planet, Red Dead Redemption, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Soul Calibur, and more—existed in the golden age of 8- and 16-bit gaming. Of course, several of these games indeed had low-bit predecessors!
